Rustic Ride #1 Flexible Flyer
Our vintage 50 year old Flexible Flyer Tricycle has spent most of its life displayed in the yard. Until the little ones in the family saw in on the patio, hopped on and started riding it back and forth on the patio pavers. It squeaks so loud it hurts your ears; they love it! Better still, 2 kids can ride at once. One gets the seat and pedals, one stands on the red “step” and holds onto the driver. So she’s back on the road again..

Maple Grove Farm, built in 1902 sits high on a mountain ridge in Windsor county Vermont. Surrounded by maple trees, this dairy and horse barn has been in the Maynard family for many years. These beautiful trees are also tapped for their delicious maple syrup production. Maple Grove Farm has an interesting history….early on a family from the city offered to switch homesteads with the Maynard’s to try life in the country. The family agreed and this experiment continued for a few years! Eventually the families decided they preferred their original lifestyles and switched back. A new generation continues to farm Maple Grove as this iconic Vermont barn continues to age gracefully.

Legend has it that this seaside Victorian house is haunted. In the late 1800’s Celeste Eppes in an attempt to make her husband jealous, lied about his best friend having an interest in her. Her husband confronted him in the parlor of the house. He of course denied any wrongdoing, but was shot with a bullet through his heart. The truth came out during the trial and the town shunned Celeste. She died a few years later during childbirth. She has been thought to have haunted this house ever since. People say you can see her peering out through the windows….
